Care and disinfection of VR equipment

The correct maintenance and care of the headset include their cleaning and disinfection.

How to clean the headset?

One action that should be routine is to clean the device after each session.

Clean the lenses of the glasses with a dry microfiber cloth for optical lenses. Do not use liquid, alcohol, or chemical cleaners. Start by wiping the center of the lens, making gentle circular motions outward.

You can use wet wipes to clean the outside of the headset (not the lenses). 

If you think you should take more precautions for different reasons (OCD patients, possible sources of infection, etc.) you can use FacePads or masks for virtual reality devices.

VR devices can be disinfected using UV, this can be useful if you work for a hospital or organization where you are required to have more direct disinfection, or if you simply want to know other methods of disinfection for your device.
